Will: Morgan EVANS, Nantyrhyfod, 1726


In the name of God Amen, the third day of Feb Ano Dom 1724 I Morgan Evans of Nantyrhyfod in the Parish of Trefeglwys and County of Montgomery in the Diocess of Bangor, Being of Good and perfect memory, thanks be to Almighty God, and calling to remembrance the uncertain Estate of this Transitory Life and that all flesh mush yield unto Death when it shall please God to call, Do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following; first being penitent & sorry for all of my sins most humbly desiring forgivness for the same I comend my Soul unto Almighty God my Savior & redeemer in whom and by whose merits I trust and believe asuredly to the Last, and to have full remission and forgiveness of all my sins, and to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven; and my body I comit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named and for the Setling of my Temporal Estate & such goods, Chattels & (topts?) as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me; I do order, give and dispose the same in Manner and Form following: (that is to say) (jurisprimus?) I give and bequeath unto Mary Evans my poor wife the sum of Twenty pounds of Currant (Money?) of Great Britan, with my second horse, fourty sheep and half my (household) stuff; item I give and bequeath unto Evan Evans my loving son the (sum?) of five Shillings; Item I I give and bequeath unto my grand Children Evan Morgan, Martha, and Mary, Children of my Son Evan four yearling theaves; Item I give and bequeath unto William Swancott my Son in Law the Sum of five shillings; Item I give and beueath unto my grand Children Anne, Mary, Joan and John, Children of William Swancott four Yearling theaves; Item I give and bequeath unto John Thomas my Son in Law the Sum of fifty Shillings with a cow and calf; Item I give and bequeath unto Richard David my Son in law the Sum of five Shillings; Item I give and beueath unto my grand Child Richard Son of Richard David Two yearling theaves; Item my will is the Legacies above Mentioned and beueath shall be paid by my executors hereafter named within the term of one year after my death; Item all of the rest of my Goods and Chatttels I give and beueath unto John Evans and Joseph Evans my Loving Children, and I do nominate and appoint said John Evans and Joseph Evans sole Executors of this my last will; (Jointly?) revoking all former Wills by me made, In Witness whereof I have hereto set my Hand and Seal this day and year (said above?).
