1 This is the last Will and Testament of me
2 Elizabeth Evans, late of Cwmgwernog, in the parish
3 of Trefeglwys, in the County of Montgomery, Widow.
4 That is to say – I give and bequeath
5 Daughter Elizabeth Jones (Wife of John Jones) the
6 Sum of Two pounds – I give and bequeath unto
7 my Daughter Margaret Williams, (Wife of Evan
8 Williams) the sum of Ten pounds.
9 I give and bequeath unto my Grandson, and Grand-
10 -daughter, Andrew and Elizabeth Ashton, Son and
11 Daughter of John Ashton by Catherine his Wife, the
12 Worth or Value of One pound each of Cloathing,
13 the same to be given to them by my Executor, within
14 the space or Term of Twelve Months next after my
15 Decease – I give and bequeath unto my Grand-
16 -daughter Elizabeth Evans, Daughter of my Son
17 Richard Evans, by Elizabeth his Wife, the Sum of
18 One pound – All the above Legacies, I Will and
19 Direct to be paid by my Executor herein after named, at
20 the Expiration of Twelve Months after my Decease,
21 and As to the Rest, Remainder, and Residue of my ready
22 Money, Securities for Money and personal Estate
23 whatsoever and wheresoever, after paying the above Legacies
24 any first Debts and Funeral Expenses, and also of proving
25 this my last Will and Testament – I give and bequeath
26 the Remainder to my Son Evan Evans, whom I do hereby
27 nominate, constitute, and appoint, Sole Executor of this my
28 last Will and Testament – In witness whereof I have here-
29 -unto set my Hand and Seal, to this my last Will and Testament
30 this fourteenth Day of February, in the year of our Lord, One
31 Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixteen

48 Credits of the said deceased do not amount in
49 value to one hundred pounds
