1 In the Name of God. Amen

2 I Evan Evans of Pen-y-ddol in the parish of Tref-Eglwys, in the
3 County of Montgomery and Diocese of Bangor, being weak of
4 Body, but of perfect Mind and Memory – Thanks be to God for
5 the Same – do make this my last Will and Testament, in
6 Manner and Form following – that is to say –

7 First I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Evans, the
8 full Sum of Eighty pounds, to be paid unto him, when he shall
9 arrive at the age of Twenty-four years

10 I likewise give and bequeath unto my two Sons, Evan Evans,
11 and Edward Evans, each the full Sum of Eighty pounds, to be paid
12 unto them, when they and each of them, shall arrive successively, at the
13 Age of Twenty-five years

14 I likewise give and beqeat unto my Daughter Elizabeth Evans,
15 the full Sum of Forty pounds, together with my best Chest, the same
16 to be paid and delivered unto her, within the Term or Share of one year
17 and a day, after my Decease

18 I likewise give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Evans, the
19 like Sum of Forty pounds, to be paid unto her, or the same manner as
20 I mentioned of my Daughter Elizabeth

21 I likewise give and bequeath unto my Wife Elizabeth, my best
22 Bed and Bed-stead with all the Furniture and Appurtenances belonging
23 to the said Bed, and I do also give unto her my second best Chest and my
24 Close-Stool, the same to be possessed by her immediately after my decease

25 All the Rest and Remainder of my Goods Chattels and Credits,
26 Money, Bills Bonds, and all which belong and appertain to me by Claim
27 or Title, I give, bequeath, and demise, unto, among, and [inserted:] equally between my said
28 Wife Elizabeth Evans, and my Son Richard Evans, whom I do ordain and
29 appoint Executrix, and Executor of this my last Will and Testament,
30 and I do allow this and no other to be my last Will and Testament,
31 revoking, and disallowing all other Wills made by me, as heretofore

34 this Twelfth Day of September, in the year or our Lord, One Thousand

49 Richard Evans, they being first sworn in common
50 form of Law, and that the whole of the goods
51 Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not
52 amount in Value, to four hundred and fifty Pounds
