1. In the name of God Amen, this twenty first day of
2. April in the year of Lord god one thousand seven hundred
3. and fifty one, I Charles Ashton of Tref-Eglwys in
4. the Diocese of Bangor being sick and weak in body
5. but of full and perfect memory praised be god and
6. to mind the mortality of my body and that is appointed
7. for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last
8. Will and Testament, that is to say Chiefly and first of
9. all I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God
10. meritts, death and passion, I hope for pardon and
11. salvation, and my body I bequeath unto the Earth from
12. whence itt came to be decently Interred according to the
13. wordly gods as itt hath pleased god to endue me with I
14. give and bequeath in manner and form following
15. Impertis I give and bequeath unto my Eldest son
16. Charles Ashton the sum of fifty pounds
17. Item I give and bequeath unto my second son
18. John Ashton the sum of fifty pounds
19. Item I give and bequeth unto my youngest son
20. Jerman Ashton the sum of fifty pounds
21. Item I give and bequeath unto my onely Daughter
22. Dorothy Ashton the sum of fifty pounds
23. Item, My Will is that my four Children, above named
24. do pay unto my Mother in law, Hester Ashton each of
25. them the sum of five shillings on the first day of May
26. in the year 1752, if she live so long, and after [paper torn]
27. that each of them pay unto the said Hester Ashton
28. the sum of ten shillings on every first day of May
29. during the term of her natural life, which said
30. sums they are to pay out of their several portions
31. above mention, not as a Legacy, but as it is due to
32. her from me by A former contract

34. unto my well beloved wife Mary Ashton, whom I
35. do nominate and appoint Sole Executrix of this
36. my last Will and Testament revoking and makeing
37. void all other Wills by me heretofore made
