1 In the Name of God Amen, I Edward Wood of Cilhaul in the Parish of
2 Tref Eglwys and County of Montgomery Farmer, Do make this my last Will
3 and Testament in Manner and form following Under my Executor hereafter
4 named to pay all my debts and funeral Expenses First I give and bequeath unto
5 my Daughter Elizabeth Widow of John Brick one and twenty Shillings Also I give
6 and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Wife of Richard Jones one and twenty Shillings
7 also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Catherine Wife of Thomas David One and
8 Twenty Shillings Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Gwenn wife of
9 John Rowland one and twenty shillings – All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my
10 Goods and Chattels Money and Monies due to me by Bonds Bills under so otherwise
11 I give and bequeath unto my son in law Evan Lloyd where I hereby nominate Constitute
12 and appoint my sole Executor and Residuary Legacee of this my last Will and Testament
13 In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this seventeenth day of
14 April in the year of our Lord 1788 The Mark of Edward X Wood – Signed
15 Sealed published and declared by the above named Testator or and for his last Will
16 and Testatment in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our Names as
17 Witnesses hereunto at his Request and in his presence and in the presence of each
18 other Richard Evans of Talgarth Roderick Lewis .. of Tref Eglwys
