3 In the Name of God Amen I John Rowlands of Brynydderwen in the
4 Parish of Tref Eglwys in the County of Montgomery and Diocese of Bangor
5 Yeoman being infirm in health, but of sound and perfect mind and
6 Memory thanks be to God for the same and calling to memory the uncertaain-
7 -ty of this transitory Life, do make, constitute and ordain this my last
8 Will and Testament in Manner and Form following viz.
9 First I order and command my Executor herein afternamed to pay all my
10 Debts and Funeral Expenses. also I give and bequeath unto my Eldest Son
11 Richard Rowland, the Sum of two Pounds and five Shillings, to be paid
12 unto him by my Executor twelve months after my Decease together with
13 the Discounting and forgiving the Sum of twenty seven Pounds and fif-
14 -teen Shillings which my said Son now stands indebted to me.
15 Also I give and bequeath unto Catherine my beloved Wife the Sum of
16 four Pounds per annum to be paid unto her by my Executor yearly and
17 ever Year during her natural Life, together with one Bed and Furniture
18 one Pot and washing Pail, and a few small Kitchen Utensils
19 All the Rest, Resideu and Remainder of my Goods and Chattels, Stock
20 Effects and money, due to me by Bills, Bonds or any other Claim or Title
21 I give and bequeath unto my youngest Son John Rowland whom I also appoint
22 sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament abrog.ling disannulling and
23 making void all former Wills and Testaments made or ordained heretofore by me
24 ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Published last Will and
25 Testament. Signed with my Hand sealed with my Seal with sixteeth Day of
26 August in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand and eight Hundred

37 valid, and administration granted to the within named
38 Executor John Rowland, he being first sworn in
39 common form of Law, and that the whole of the
40 Goods Chattels, and Credits of the said deceased
41 (after deducting the susm specified in the Inventory)
42 do not amount in value to Three hundred Pounds
