1. In the Name of God Amen I Evan Evans of Nyodd Llwyd in the parish of Treveglwys in the County of Montgomery
2. Farmer being Weake in body But of sound mind memory and understanding Do make publish and declare this my last Will
3. and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First my will and desire is that my Body be Decently Buried
4. by my Executrix herein after named and as touching such wordly Goods as God hath bestowed upon me I Give and
5. devise the same in manner and form following – First I Give and Devise unto [crossed out] my Loving wife [end of crossed out] my Loving Wife Mary
6. all those Dwelling Houses with the appurenances situate in Long Bridge Street in the Town of Llanidloes in the
7. County of Montgomery now in the possession of Elizabeth Brunt and Edward Lewis their undertenants or assigns for
8. and during the Term of her Natural Life and from and Immediately after her Decease I Give and devise the said
9. Dwelling Houses with their and every of their appurtenances unto Jeremiah Morgan of Pentre in the parish of
10. Carno in the County of Montgomery Farmer [insert] and … a … [end of insert] In Trust that he shall Immediately after the Decease of my said wife
11. by Sale or Mortgage of the said premises Raise the sum of One Hundred and Seventy Pounds and pay and apply the
12. same in manner and form following (that is to say) the sum of Fifty Pounds unto my Daughter Jane the Wife of
13. Joseph Jones – the sum of Fifty Pounds until my Daughter Mary the wife of Richard Woosnam – the sum of –
14. Thirty five pounds unto my Daughter Elizabeth – and the Remaining sum of Thirty five pounds unto my Daughter
15. Ann and as touching and concerning the said premises after the Decease of my said wife and subject to the Trust
16. aforesaid I Give and devise the same premises with their appurtenances unto my son Evan Evans his Heirs
17. and assigns forever also I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth the sum of Fifty pounds the same to be paid
18. her by my Executrix when she marries or attains the age of Thirty Years also I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter
19. Ann the sum of Fifty pounds the same to be paid her by my Executrix when she attains the age of Thirty years or the Day
20. of marriage and as as touching and concerning the Lease which I have of the premises which I now live in I Give
21. devise and bequeath the same unto my wife Mary for and during the Remainder of the said Lease In Case my
22. wife marries again then my will is that she pay the above Legacies Immediately [interlined] after [end of interlined] such marriage shall take
23. place and … all the rest and residue and remainder of my Estate Goods Cattle Chattels and Effects
