One response to “Will: Evan EVANS, Finnant, 1848”

This will leaves a bequest to granddau Elizabeth Tilsley for her education. I am sure that she is the sister of your William Tilsley born about 1836.. Evan Evans is thus the father of Elizabeth Evans who married Edward Tilsley (1808-1847). The testator’s sister is Margaret Bennett nee Evans who made a will 22 Oct 1841 at Ffinnant (B 1843 174, Will of Margaret Bennett late of Ty Coch near Llawryglyn, Trefeglwys, and now residing at Finnant, Trefeglwys, widow). Her husband was Edward Bennett (1755-1822) . I’ve just realised that I have transcribed his PCC will. I will send it to you if it has not already been transcribed on the site.
