1 In the Name of God Amen – the Nineteenth Day of
2 July One thousand Eight hundred and forty Nine
3 I John Jones of Gwerne in the Parish of Trefeglwys
4 in the County of Montgomery Farmer being of Sound Mind
5 Memory but duly Mindful of my mortality do Make
6 this my Last Will and testament at the same time
7 Revoking all former Wills made by me declaring this to be
8 my Last will and Testament – First I will that all Debts
9 If any and my Funeral Expenses to be fully paid and discharged
10 by my Executor herein After named, and as Touching Such Wordly
11 Goods and Effects it hath Pleased God to bestow upon me
12 I Give and devise the same as followeth
13 I Give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Sarah Jane
14 the whole rest residue and Remainder of my Goods
15 chattels and Effects on the following terms – She w.o Pay
16 a Share or Portion that which is Just and Proper to my
17 Sons and Daughter when married or at the time of Leaving
18 their residence – and also she is to Remain my
19 Widow otherwise the whole of her Property is to be divided
20 Between my Sons and Daughters – and I whereby
21 Appoint the above named Sarah Jones my Loving
22 Wife to be Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and
23 Testament unto which I have hereunto Set my Hand and
24 Seal the Day and Year above Written

35 insinuated, proved, approved, and in com –
36 -mon form of law decreed valid, and Admi
37 -nistration granted to the within named
38 Executrix Sarah Jones, She being first
39 sworn in common form of law, and
40 that the whole of the goods, chattels, and
41 credits of the said deceased do not amount
42 in value to £200

81 in the Parish of Llanidloes in the County of Montgomery
82 and made Oath that he is one of the subscribed Witnesses to the last Will
83 and Testament of John Jones late
84 of Gwerne in the Parish of Trefeglwys
85 in the County of Montgomery Farmer, deceased, and hereunto annexed.
86 And he further made Oath that on the Nineteeth day of July
87 One thousand eight hundred and forty nine the said Testator
88 duly executed his said Will affixing his mark at the foot or
89 end thereof, in the presence of this Deponent and of Thomas Evans
90 the other Subscribed Witness thereto, who
91 were present at the same time. And this Deponent and the said Thomas Evans
92 thereupon attested and Subscribed the said
93 will in the presence of the said Testator
