1 In the Name of God Amen, I Zacharias Davies of the Parish of Trefeglwys
2 in the County of Montgomery and Diocese of Bangor Being Weak in Body butt of
3 Sound and perfect mind and memory Thanks be to the Allmighty God for the same
4 on the Eleventh day of February in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred
5 and Seventy Six I Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament in
6 manner and form following Viz. Item I Give and Bequeath unto unto Anne my Eldest
7 Daughter the wife of John Morgan the Sum of Seaven pounds Clear besides their rent for
8 this Present year to be paid by my Executor Two years after my Deceases, also I Give
9 and bequeath unto my Second Daughter Sarah the sum of Twenty one Pounds to be paid
10 her by my Executor when she arives at the Age of Twenty Three years also one Bed stead
11 with its furniture and apurtonances one Chest which she generally ocupyes and one Coffer –
12 also I Give and Bequeath unto my Third Daughter, Mary the Sum of Twenty one pounds
13 to be paid her when shee arives at the Age of Twenty Three years also one Bed furnished
14 one Chest and one Coffor, also I Give and Bequeath unto my Second son, Morris the sum
15 of Twenty one pounds to be paid him when he arives at the Age of Twenty Three years
16 and also one Large Cuboard Als I Do order my Executor to Set him the Said Morris to be
17 an Aprentise to Larn the Trade of a Shoemaker or any other Trade that he shall
18 Choose of the same Expense and also Cloathing and what is Nesessary for him during
19 his apprenticeship, all which my Executor is to do and perform at his own Expence before
20 paing him the above Sum, also I Give and Bequeath unto my Third son David the sum of
21 Twenty One pounds to be paid him when he arives at the Age of Twenty Three years also
22 one Desk and my Executor is to find him one New Chest and to Give him one years
23 Learning in Some Good Convenient School also to be Taught and Brough up to Some Trade
24 all which upon my Executors Expense besides the above Sum also I Give and Bequeath
25 unto [crossed out/ink blot] John my youngest Son the sume of Twenty One pounds to be paid him when he
26 arives at the Age of Twenty Three years also a Clock & Case also my Executor is to be at the
27 Charge and Expense of his maintinance and Twelve months schooling and to Give him Some
28 Common Trade Till such Time that he can be able to provid for himselfe all which beside &
29 with the above Sum Also I Give and Demise unto Anne My beloved Wife all the remainder of
30 my Household Furniture Excepting and reserving one Large Table and the Largest Coaffers also
31 the House Commonly Called Little House and half the Garden Adjoining during her Life provided
32 She Shall remain unmarried otherwise she is to have Neither House nor furniture and as to the
33 Furniture, if She remains widow during her Life, shall and will be at her dispose afterwards also I
34 do order that my Executor shall pay yearly and Every year the sum of Six pounds unto the Said
35 Anne my wife as Jointure, whether she be married or remains widdow/ during her life all the
36 Rest of my Goods, Chattells, Lands, movables and unmovables of what nature soever they may Be I Give and
37 Demise unto my Eldest son Zacharias Davies whom I also apoint Sole Executor of this my Last Will
38 and Testament / revoking all other wills by me made / provided the Said Executor shall or may happen
39 to die without [interlined:] Lawfull [end] I ..e then, I order the Lands to Decend to his Eldest Brother and to Deciend from
40 Heir to Heir for Ever, Each Heir and also my Executor being Bound to pay Two Hundred pounds
41 of Lawfull money which are Due by Bonds and are Lawfull to be as Mortgage upon my
42 Estate all Demands dues Debt Legacys &c I order to be paid by My Eldest Son and Heir aforesaid
43 Executor as above mentioned or by his Decendants provided he do not So Long Live
