1 In the Name of God Amen I Edward Williams of
2 Tythin yr faidre in the Parish of Tref Eglwys in the county
3 of Montgomery being sound mind memory, and understanding
4 through the mercy if god, do I to avoid all controvercies and
5 disputes after my decease I make and ordain this my last will
6 and Testament in manner and form following that is to say
7 First, I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Williams all
8 my Lease Estate commonly or known by the name of
9 Tythin y faidre where I now reside and Tanycoed, on the
10 following Particulars or Conditions, he the said Thomas are
11 to pay Thirty Pounds a year of Rent, and every year, during
12 the time till the Debts of the Lease be up, but the Interest
13 are to be paid out of the said Thirty Punds sent, and the
14 overplus of the said Thirty Pounds sent are to be paid Towards
15 paying the Debts of the Lease, and whom my son Thomas being
16 satisfied himself and paid all the Debts of the Lease, I give
17 and bequeath the said Lease to my son in Law David
18 Davies Tanycoed, and at such time the said David Davies
19 is to pay to my Executor Fifteen shillings per heaf for the
20 sheeps, and also, at the same time the said David Davies is
21 is to pay to my Executor for One Hundred strike of Wheat at
22 Eleven shillings per strike which I Brought to Tythin y
23 faidre from Cowencroeslwybr, I give and bequeath to my
24 son John the sum of sixty Pounds, I give and bequeath
25 to my Daughter Elizabeth the wife of John Jervis the sum
26 of Ten Pounds, I give and bequeath to the Childrens of
27 my Daughter Mary Mills (Deceased) named, Edward, Giles,
28 Hugh, John and Mary Mills, the sum of Ten Pounds
29 Equal divided, share and share alike, Provided that if either
30 of them my grand children, hapen died single the share or

32 shares of such child or children to be divided Equally between
33 my surviving grand chldrens, I order and apoint my
34 Executor to be a Trustee, and Guardian over the said fatherless
35 children – also I give and bequeath to my grand Daughter
36 Elizabeth Davies the sum of Five Pounds – and Lastley
37 sa to all the rest and Remainder of my personal Estate
38 goods, Chattels, and credits, and whatsoever belonds or
39 Appertains to me, I give and bequeath the same to my
40 Son Thomas whome I appoint my sole Executor of this
41 my Last will and Testament and I do hereby revoke all
42 other will or wills by me in any way formely made
43 and declare this only to be my Last I witness wereof I
44 have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of July
45 in the year of our Lord, One thousand Eight Hundred and
46 Twenty Six (1826)
