1 In the name of God Amen I John Evans of
2 Bryn Owen in the Parish of Trefeglwys and County of
3 Montgomery Farmer being Sick in Body but of sound
4 mind memory and understanding praised be God for
5 the same. Do make this my last Will and Testament
6 in manner and Form Following. First I order my Executor
7 hereafter named to pay all my debts Funeral Expenses
8 and the proving of this my last Will and Testament
9 likewise I give and bequeath unto my Brother Richard Evans
10 all profits and claims of that Dwelling House and Garden
11 called Nantyterfin situate in the Parish of Trefeglwys
12 and County of Montgomery and now in my Occupation
13 for and by Lease Granted to me for a Certain term of
14 years his Heirs and assigns for ever
15 Likewise I give and bequeath unto the said Richard
16 Evans the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid by me Executor
17 at the Expiration of Twelve Months after my decease
18 likewise I give and bequeath unto my Sister Elizabeth
19 wife of John Hamer the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be
20 paid unto her by my Executor at the Expiration of
21 Twelve Months after my decease
22 Likewise I give and bequeath unto my Brother Evan Evans
23 the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid unto him by my
24 Executor at the Expiration of Twelve Months after my decease
25 likewise I give and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Evans
26 the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid unto him by my
27 Executor at the Expiration of Twleve Months after my
28 decease
29 likewise I give and bequeath unto my Mother Elizabeth
30 Evans the Sum of Two Pounds annually to be paid unto
31 her by my Executor by two equal payments of one pound

32 at a time Half yearly the first payment to be due at
33 the Expiration of Six Months after my decease and the same
34 to be chargeable on my real Estate during her life
35 I likewise give and bequeath unto the Trustees of the
36 Wesleyan Chapel near Trefeglwys Village the Sum of One
37 pounds annually to be used agreeable and applyed towards the Support
38 of the Local Preachers belonging to the said Chapel and
39 to be conducted as the said Trustees thinks proper and
40 to be chargeable upon my real Estate for Ever annually.
41 Likewise I give and bequeath unto my Brother Charles Evans
42 all my real Estate of every nature whatever situate lying
43 and being in the Parish of Trefeglwys and county of
44 Montgomery or else where for his own use and his heirs and
45 assigns for ever charging the said Real Estate with
46 the payments of the Foregoing legacies to
47 and Further I likewise give and bequeath all the rest
48 residue and remainder of my Money Bills Bonds Goods
49 Chattels Farming Stock Household Furniture and
50 Credits and whatsoever besides which belong or
51 appertain to me by claim in Title utno my said Brother
52 Charles Evans which I now appoint constitute and ordain
53 to be my sole Executor of this my last Will and or
54 Wills made by me as heretofore and allow this to be my only
55 and last Will and Testament in Witness to the same
56 I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty
57 ninth day of March one Thousand Eight Hundred and
58 Forty Four

67 On the eleventh day of May in the year of our Lord One
68 Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Four the above Will
69 was insinuated, proved, approved, and in common form of
70 law decreed valid, and administration granted to the
71 within named Executor, Charles Evans, he being first
72 sworn in common form of law, and that the whole of the
73 Goods, Chattels, and credits of the said deceased do
74 not amount in value to One Hundred Pounds
