1 In the Name of God Amen. I Richard Evans
2 of Cwmgwernog in the parish of Trefeglwys in the County
3 of Montgomery and Diocese of Bangor / Farmer
4 being of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding
5 Do Make and Ordain publish and declare this my
6 last Will and Testament, in Manner and form
7 following (that is to say) First I direct that my
8 Just Debts and Funeral Expenses, be paid by my
9 Executrix herein after mentioned out of my
10 personal Estate And as Touching such wordly
11 Estate it has pleased God to Bless me with – I
12 give and Devise the same in the following
13 manner and Form. First I give and
14 Devise unto my Son Evan Evans all my
15 Implements of Husbandry
15 Also I give and Devise to my Beloved Wife
16 Elizabeth Evans, the Lease of all that Messuage
17 and Tenement called and known by the names
18 Cwmgwernog which I now hold under Mrs
19 Elizabeth Griffiths of Dolgadfan in the parish
20 of Llanbrynmair (Widow of the late David
21 Griffiths of the same place Esquire) And I
22 Direct that the profits and enjoyed by my
23 said Wife During the term of her Natural
24 Life And then to devolve and become the
25 property of my abovementioned son Evan Evans
26 his Heirs and Assigns I Also give and Bequeath
27 unto my said wife All my Houshold Furniture
28 My Stock and Horses Cattle and Sheep And all
29 the rest and Residue of my personal Estate of what

30 Kind or quality whatsoever that I shall be possesed
31 off or entitled to at my Decease And I do hereby
32 Nominate and Constitute her to be sole Executrix
33 of this my last Will and Testament. Hereby
34 Revoking and making Void all and every former
35 Will or Wills by me heretofore made And Declaring
36 this and no other to be my last. In Witness
37 whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
38 this Thirty first day of December, One Thousand

57 the whole the goods Chattels and credits of the said deceased do not amount
58 in value to two hundred Pounds
