Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury (PCC): Wills, pre 1858

Before 1858, where a Testator had property in more than one Diocese or the value of their estate exceeded £5 – their will was proven before the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Otherwise known as the PCC. Note, other Trefeglwys wills were proven at the Ecclesiastical Court – Bangor).

Listed below are the Trefeglwys wills I’ve managed to extract from the National Archives catalogue. If there are any Trefeglwys PCC wills missing from the list below, please could you let me know.

The PCC wills are not freely available online, and the National Archives is not easily accessible – so accessing these wills to transcribe is going to be more problematic. I have transcriptions for a few of the wills below, but if you are able to help out with any of the wills listed below then I and others would be grateful. Each document helps build a picture of the parish, and puts lives in a wider context, etc.
