2 I John James of Lechwedd in the Parish of
3 Trefeglwys in the County of Montgomery Farmer
4 Being Weak in body buy of sound and perfect mind
5 and Memory do make and publish this my Last
6 will and Testament; In manner and form following
7 (that is to say) First I giveand bequeath unto my
8 Beloved wife Margaret James the sum of Ten Pounds
9 which is a part of my Portion unpaid by my Father
10 and Secondly and Lastly the whole of my Personal
11 Estate, Goods and Chattels of what kind or nature
12 Forever, I Give and Bequeath the same to my said
13 Beloved Wife Margaret James; whom I shall hereby appoint
14 Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament
15 Hereby Revoking all former wills by me; In witness
16 whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the
17 Fifteenth Day of January in the Twenthith first year
18 of the Reign of the Queen Victoria; and in the year of Our Lord
19 One thousand Eight Hundred and fifty seven
