1 In the Name of God. Amen.
2 I Edward Evans of Bryn-y-bedw, in the parish of Trefeglyws,
3 in the County of Montgomery; being weak in Body; but of perfect
4 Mind, Memory and Understanding; do make this my last Will and
5 Testament in Manner and Form following: that is to say
6 First, I give and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Evans,
7 my best Suit of Clothes, and my second suit of Clothes to my
8 Nephew Andrew Evans, (Son of my Brother Thomas Evans)
9 I give power and Authority to my said Brother Thomas Evans
10 to sell all my Household Furniture and moveable Effects, and I
11 order him my said Brother Thomas Evans, to deliver the Money (which
12 he will receive from or for the said Effects,) to Mr David Evans
13 of Red house, in the said parish and County, or to his Heirs or assigns
14 in order for him or them to pay the same, in a conseientious manner, to him, her,
15 or them, to whom I am indebted to, provided that they the said Thomas
16 Evans, and the said Mr David Evans shall keep part of the said
17 Money in their own Hands as much as will be sufficiently or reasonably
18 to satisfy them for their Trouble in the Execution of this mentioned Affair
19 I do give Consent for my Nephew Richard Evans, son of my late deceased
20 Brother Richard Evans, to hold and possess my leased House and Land
21 which are situate and being, on part of Lluest Farm in the said parish
22 and County, the said House and Land, my said Nephew Richard Evans
23 shall hold and possess during the Term fo Ten years and the said Term
24 to commence on the twelfth Day of May next after my Decease, and
25 to be determinable at, or on the Twelfth Day of May, at the Expiration
26 of the said Term of the said Ten years; and he my said Nephew Richard
27 Evans, must pay or cause to be paid, the clear yearly Rent of
28 One Pound and Five Shillings, yearly and every year, by two
29 equal half yearly payments during the the Term of the said Ten
30 years; and pay or deliver the same into the Hands of the said Mr
31 David Evans aforesaid his Heirs or Assigns, in order that he or they may pay the
32 same to whom I am indebted as aforesaid

33 And, at the Determination of the Term fo the aforesaid Ten
34 years, my said Leased House and Land, must and shall, become
35 the right and true property of my Nephew John Evans, Son of
36 my said deceased Brother Richard Evans; during the Term of the
37 [crossed out: Terms] of the Lease respecting the said House and Land
38 My Will and Meaning is, that I do, (at the Expiration of the said
39 Term of Ten years as aforesaid) give demise and bequeath my
40 said Leased House and land (which are situate part of Lluest
41 Land as aforesaid) unto my said Nephew John Evans, and to his
42 Heirs and Assigns, till the said Lease be Determinable
43 I likewis give demise and bequeath unto my Nephew-in-law,
44 John Bennett, and to his Wife Ann Bennett, the House or Cottage
45 which I now dwell in and possess, together with the Garden or Lands
46 belonging to the said Cottage Called Bryn-y-bedw, situate and being
47 in the parish of Trefeglwys, in the County aforesaid The said House,
48 Buildings Lands and premises I give demise and bequeath unto my
49 said Newphew-in-law, John Bennett and his Wife Ann Bennett, and
50 to their Heirs and Assigns
51 I likewise appoint my Brother Thomas Evans to be Trustee
52 in the Management and Execution of these my affairs
53 (The Words, “or them” “aforesaid” were interlined before this was signed)
54 In Witness to the same I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the
55 second Day of April in the Year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred
56 and Fifteen
