1 In the name of God Amen I John Ashton of the parish of
2 Trefeglwys and the County of Montgomery .omd and Dioces
3 of Bangor being weak but in perfect sound and
4 memory doe make and ordaine this my Last will and Testament
5 in manner and form following first I command my
6 soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth from
7 whence it came, to be buried in decent Chrissian maner
8 and as to my worldly substance, [crossed out]

10 Imprimis I give and bequeath to my Eldest son
11 Valentine Ashton all my Lands whom he comes to a
12 Lawfull age and the summ of five shillings from my
13 Personall Effects, Item I give and bequeath to my son Edward
14 the sum of Twenty pounds, Item I give and bequeath to
15 my son John the summ of Twenty pounds, Item I give
16 and bequeath to my son Charles the summ of Twenty
17 pounds, the remainder of my Goods Cattle and Creditts
18 I give and bequeath to any to my beloved wife Elizabeth Ashton
19 whome … ordained and appoint to be sole Executor of this
20 my Last will and Testament Revoking and annulling
21 all other wills before be me or intended to be made in
22 witness whereof I have hereunt put my hand and
23 seal the five and twenthith day of August, in the year
24 of our Lord 1733 signed sealed Published and declared
25 in the presence and sight of
