1 In the Name of God. Amen.
2 I Hugh Richard of Rhiwen, in the parish of Trefeglwys,
3 in the County of Montgomery; being weak in Body, but of
4 perfect Mind, Memory and Understanding; do make this my
5 last Will and Testament, in Manner and Form following
6 that is to say – First I order my Executrix and
7 Executor, to pay all my debts and Funeral Expenses
8 I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Jane, the Sum
9 of One Shilling – I also give and bequeath unto my
10 Daughter Martha, the Sum of One Shilling
11 I also give and bequeath unto my Daugther Margaret,
12 the Sum of Three pounds – I also give and bequeath
13 unto my Daughter Mary, the Sum of Ten Pounds, together
14 with the Worth or Value of Five pounds of Household
15 Furniture – I likewise give and bequeath unto my
16 Grand-daughter, Hannah Evans, the Sum of Three pounds,
17 the same to be paid unto her, when she will arrive at the
18 Age of Twenty-one years – I also give and bequeath
19 unto my Son David, the Sum of One Shilling
20 I also give and bequeath unto my Son Hugh, the Sum
21 of One Shilling – I also give and bequeath unto my
22 Son Joseph, the Sum of Five pounds

23 All the Rest, Residue and Remainder of my Goods and Effects,
24 Money, Bills and Bonds, and whatsoever belong to me by Claim or
25 Title, I give Demise and bequeath equally among and between my
26 Wife Martha and my Son John, whom I constitute, appoint and
27 ordain, Joint Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and
28 Testament – But if in Case, my said Wife Martha will not.huse
29 to be joint Executrix, with my said Son John, I order him my said
30 son John, to pay or deliver to my said Wife Martha, the Sum of
31 Thirty pounds; and in that Case, my said Son John, is to
32 be sole Executror of this my last Will and Testament

47 Law decreed valid, and administration granted
48 to the within named Executors Martha Richards
49 and John Richards, they being first sworn in
50 common form of Law, and that whole of the Goods
51 Chattels and Credits of the said deceased [crossed out: not] do not
52 amount in value to one hundred Pounds
