1 In the name of God Amen I Jonathan Tilsley of Dolgwden
2 in the Parish of Trefeglwys and County of Montgomery Farmer
3 being Sick in body but of disposed and sound mind memory
4 and understanding praised be God for the same do make
5 this my last Will and Testament in manner and form
6 Following that is to say First I order my Executors hereafter
7 named to pay all my debts Funeral Expenses and the
8 proving of this my last Will and Testament
9 I likewise give and bequeath unto the Four Children of
10 William Swancot my son in law viz William Elizabeth
11 David and John the Sum of Five Pounds each to be paid unto
12 each of them by my Executors when each of them obtains the
13 age of Twenty One years without Interest should any of these
14 children die before they obtain the said age the said money
15 to be given at the time of death Towards Funeral Expenses.
16 I likewise give and bequeath unto my son David Tilsley
17 the sum of Five Shillings to be paid unto him at the
18 Expiration of Twelve Months after my decease
19 by my said Executors
20 I likewise give and bequeath unto my Daughter Martha
21 Mills the sum of Five Shillings to be paid unto her at the
22 Expiration of Twelve Months after my decease by my Executors
23 All the Rest Residue and remainder of all Money Bills Bonds
24 Goods Chattels and Credits and whatsoever besides which
25 belong or appertain to me by Title or Claim of my nature
26 whatsoever. I give and bequeath unto my Two Sons and Two
27 Daughters. Edward Daniel Mary and Ann the whole of the
28 same Jointly and severally share and share alike
29 and Further I do appoint constitute and ordain my
30 said Two Sons and Two Daughters viz. Edward Daniel
31 Mary and Ann to be my sole Executors of this my last
32 Will and Testament and I do disannul and make
33 Void all other Will or wills made by me as heretofore

34 and allow this to be my only and last Will and
35 Testament in witness to the same I have hereunto
36 set my hand and seal this Fifth day of June
37 one Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Four

53 Daniel Tilsley Mary Tilsley and Ann Tilsley, they being
54 first sworn in common form of law and that the
55 wole [sic] of the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of the said
56 deceased did not amount in value to £450
